About The Web Site

This web site is designed by Michael Salameh, Ph.D. (Technical Sciences). Michael Salameh has extensive experience in both academic teaching and professional consulting. He is currently teaching architectural acoustics and lighting at the colleges of architecture in both University of Michigan and Lawrence Technological University. He has provided acoustical consultations for hundreds of projects in Michigan. For more information please visit dBLx CONSULTING.
The web site was originally designed for architects and interior designers. Concepts in architectural acoustics and architectural lighting were the main subjects. Recently, issues of elctroacoustic systems and multichannel audio/acoustics are included. The web site is updated frequently. Please e-mail with your comments and suggestions regarding the design of this web site.
Thank you.

Programming

NoiseControl2D is an educational software currently under development by Michael Salameh. The software helps college students understand room acoustics and noise control in buildings. It includes RT, reverberant/direct sound, STC and composite STC concepts as well as calculations of the noise level in a room (NC, NCB, dB and dBA) using transmission losses of the room boundaries and noise levels in adjacent rooms.

The first version of the program include one
exe. file (size 499 k) and information text file (size 2.74 k). Please e-mail with your comments.
